We invite participants to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentation. Abstracts should be relevant to the conference theme and may include original research, case reports, innovations, quality improvement projects, reviews, or programme reports. All submissions are peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

Abstracts may describe original research, case studies, innovations, quality improvement projects, educational initiatives, community-based programmes, or policy-related work. All abstracts must be submitted in English through the official online submission system.

§ 03

Seven Steps

From preparation to presentation — the complete path your abstract follows.

01Step
Prepare Your Abstract
Prepare your abstract according to the conference guidelines, including the required structure, word limit, and formatting requirements.
02Step
Submit via Online System
All abstracts must be submitted through the official conference website before the stated deadline. Abstracts submitted by email will not be accepted unless stated otherwise by the organiser.
03Step
Initial Screening
The Scientific Committee screens all submitted abstracts to ensure they meet submission requirements, including relevance to the conference theme, completeness, and adherence to formatting guidelines.
04Step
Review Process
Eligible abstracts are reviewed by appointed reviewers based on scientific merit, originality, clarity, relevance, and potential contribution to the field.
05Step
Notification of Decision
The decision is communicated to the corresponding author by email within two weeks of submission.
Accepted — Oral Presentation Accepted — Poster Presentation Not Accepted
06Step
Presenter Registration & Abstract Limit
At least one author must register and complete payment by the registration deadline for the abstract to be included in the conference programme and abstract book.
Each registered participant may submit up to two abstracts under the conference registration fee. For each additional abstract, an extra fee of RM50 per abstract will be charged on top of the registration fee.

Presentation at Conference
Accepted abstracts must be presented during the assigned session. Presentation details — including date, time, format, and instructions — will be provided closer to the conference date.
§ 04

Five Categories

Authors may submit abstracts under one of the following categories.

CAT — 01
Original Research
For completed studies with clear objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
CAT — 02
Case Report / Case Series
For unique or educational clinical, laboratory, public health, or community-related cases.
CAT — 03
Innovation / Programme / Project Report
For new approaches, interventions, tools, teaching methods, service improvements, or community programmes.
CAT — 04
Quality Improvement / Audit
For projects that evaluate and improve practice, workflow, safety, quality, or service delivery.
CAT — 05
Review / Scoping Review / Systematic Review
For evidence synthesis related to the conference scope.
§ 05

Required Structure

Use the structured headings appropriate to your abstract category.

Original Research
Background
Briefly describe the issue, gap, or rationale for the study.
Objectives
State the aim or research question.
Methods
Describe the study design, setting, participants/samples, procedures, and analysis.
Results
Present the main findings with relevant data.
Conclusion
Summarise the significance and implication of the findings.
Case Report / Series
Background
Brief introduction to the case and its importance.
Case Description
Key clinical, laboratory, public health, or management details.
Discussion
Main learning points or relevance to practice.
Conclusion
Key message or implication.
Innovation / Programme
Background
Describe the problem or need addressed.
Intervention / Innovation
Explain the programme, tool, approach, or innovation.
Outcome / Impact
Describe results, feedback, benefits, or lessons learnt.
Conclusion
Highlight the relevance and potential for future use.

Submission Checklist

Please ensure all of the following are complete before submitting. Authors may indicate a preferred format — oral, poster, or either — though the final decision rests with the Scientific Committee.

The abstract follows the required format
The 300-word limit is not exceeded
All authors and affiliations are correct
The presenting author is identified
The abstract has been checked for grammar and spelling
All co-authors have approved the submission
Ethical approval has been obtained where applicable

§ 07

Acceptance & Presenters

How decisions are reached, what acceptance means, and the registration required to present.

Acceptance & Withdrawal

Acceptance

Acceptance of an abstract does not automatically include conference registration. The presenting author must complete registration and payment by the specified deadline.

Only abstracts with registered presenters will be included in the final programme and abstract book.

Withdrawal Policy

Authors who wish to withdraw an abstract must inform the conference secretariat in writing before the stated withdrawal deadline. Abstracts withdrawn after the deadline may still appear in the abstract book or programme.

Presenter Registration

One Author Must Register

At least one author must register and complete payment by the registration deadline for the abstract to be included in the conference programme and abstract book. Register below, or via the Registration page.

Each registered participant may submit up to two abstracts under the conference registration fee. For each additional abstract, an extra fee of RM50 per abstract applies on top of the registration fee.
